Star Director back to Tollywood
If there is any movie that made a lasting impact on audience of all ages, it is Bommarillu. One of the most loved and memorable movies of Tollywood, Bommarillu is surely a landmark film. The movie was directed by Bhaskar, who became an overnight star and most sought after directors after the film’s release. So much so that his name is changed to Bommarillu Bhaskar. His next films, Parugu and Orange also were high on emotional quotient and unconventional storyline. He was critically reviewed after a film like Orange, which changed his luck. He chose to follow the herd and tried his hand at commercial films, and made Ongole Gitta, which also did not fare well at box-office.
He then went ahead and tried remaking the super hit film, Bangalore Days in Tamil. Despite the film being a hit in Malayalam, it fared poorly in Tamil leaving the director in a fix again. Sources say that he has decided to return to Tollywood and approached Allu Aravind with a good story. Apparently, he liked the gist and if things go well, Allu Aravind might be willing to produce the film while Bhaskar directs it. We will have to wait for an official confirmation on the same and see who will star in the film, if at all it goes on sets!
