An official remake of the super hit film Thani Oruvan, Dhruva is directed by Surender Reddy and has Rakul Preet play the female lead while Arvind Swamy reprises his role as antagonist from the original. Ram Charan has had a rough experience at box office with his previous two films, Govindudu Andarivadele and Bruce Lee but he expecets to strike it right with Dhruva. This racy action thriller has hit the notes high with a gripping thriller and equally good music. Let us see if Dhruva managed to surpass expectations and stand out.

Plot
Dhruva is an ordinary story of a cat and mouse chase narrated in an intelligent manner. Ram Charan plays the protagonist in the form of a sincere Police officer determined to find the root, the kingpin of the evil and wipe it out for good. He finds his match in Arvind Swamy, the intelligent and shrewd businessman, for whom it is money that matters. The plot thickens and turns into an intelligent chase game when the police officer gets a knack of Arvind Swamy’s plan of sabotaging a deal that would change history of medicine business forever. He is the mastermind behind a huge conspiracy in the pharmaceutical industry. Who succeeds in this game and how does one outsmart other with their wit and intelligence form the crux of the story.

Artists Performances

Ram Charan looked every bit the perfect cop, with such intense and power packed performance. He should be lauded for his perfectly toned body and a chiseled look with the six pack is something worth watching on the screen. He went for a complete make over of looks from hair styling to costumes. Arvind Swamy is the most stylish anatagonist on Telugu screens ever. He fits the bill as the ambitious scientist business man and takes the house down with his uber cool suave looks and arrogance. He is the kind of incorrigible, intelligent and classy villains that you seldom find in Telugu cinema. Rakul Preet stands as an added attraction and she definitely has pumped up her glam quotient with this film. One cannot fail to notice her super toned body and the efforts that went into it. The rest of the cast, Posani, Nazar and others have done their part well.
